Peter passed peacefully in Easton, Pennsylvania, with family by his side, two days before his 69th birthday following a courageous battle with dementia.
Born to H. Paul Christie and Patricia Tully Christie in Plainfield, New Jersey, Peter graduated from High Bridge High School in 1973 and then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. After completing basic training at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, Texas, Peter transferred to Strategic Air Command at Pease AFB in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Following his discharge from active duty, Peter trained at culinary school in New York City and enjoyed a career as a chef.
Peter had many interests and hobbies. He was a numismatist, enjoyed fishing, photography, and billiards. In addition, Peter loved music and treasured a sizable vinyl record collection.
He is survived by his two sisters and their spouses, Paula and Charles Cohen and Patrice and Robert Mikulyak, his extended family, and cherished friends. Peter was laid to rest at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, Pennsylvania. He will forever remain in the hearts of family and friends
