Obituary

Phyllis M. Rheiner, 89, of Hanover Twp., passed away Thursday, April 14, 2022. She was the beloved wife of the late Leo R. Rheiner Jr. who passed in 2012. Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late, Charles and Esther (Farnsworth) DeLong. She graduated in 1951 Liberty H.S. and was a member of the former Salem Lutheran Church. Phyllis worked periodically throughout her life as a teletype operator at Bethlehem Steel, the former Rheiner's Market and even as Justice of the Peace for a brief period. Her main career was raising her family and enjoying time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors: She is survived by her daughters, Beth Ann Wallace (the late Dana); Susan L. Souilliard (Gary) all of Hanover Twp.; 3 grandchildren, Kelsey Long, Chad Souilliard, Tara Souilliard; 3 great grandchildren, Emma Souilliard, Callen Long and Lucas Souilliard. She was also preceded in death by her son, Mark T. Rheiner.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation on Tuesday, from 6:00-7:30 PM followed by a funeral service at 7:30 PM all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St., Bethlehem. Graveside services will be on Wednesday at 10:30 AM in Holy Saviour Cemetery. More info at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
