Obituary

Richard P. Schmoyer, 68, of Bethlehem, passed away suddenly on Friday, February 17, 2023. He was the beloved husband of Linda L. (Milburn) Schmoyer. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Arlene Schmoyer. He graduated from Liberty H. S. in 1972 and served in the U. S. Marine Corp during Vietnam. He worked at Bethlehem Steel for over 20 years before retiring and then worked for Easton Coach Co. as safety advisor and also the BASD as a bus driver where he was currently working. He was a parishioner of Most Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Miller Heights and played softball for the Heights AA and was an avid Yankee's Fan.

Survivors: In addition to his wife, Linda, he is also survived by his former wife Stephanie (Holzer) Schmoyer; daughter, Vicky Schmoyer; stepchildren, Sheila Brinker, Steven Brinker; sister, Sandra Kuyan; 4 stepgrandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by a brother, James Schmoyer in 2010.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Thursday evening, Feb. 23rd from 6-8:00 P.M. in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St., Bethlehem. Funeral services will be private on Friday with burial in Holy Saviour Cemetery.
