Robert L. Binder, 80, of Nazareth, passed away on Friday, November 11, 2022 in Lehigh Valley Hospital – Cedar Crest. He was the beloved husband of Maryann (Ulman) Binder with whom he shared his life for 50 years. Born in Perth Amboy NJ and raised in South River NJ, he was a son of the late Joseph and Rose (Ulozas) Binder. He was a graduate of South River H.S. and later worked as a Chemical Operator for Tenneco Chemical for 20 years and later Reheis Chemical, , for 22 years, both in New Jersey, before retiring in 2002. Robert liked to go camping earlier in his life and enjoyed going to and participating in craft shows where he displayed and sold crosses he made and also like to do diamond art. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and traveling. He also like ballroom dancing and won several awards. "He was also a collector of pigs" in various sizes and types. He was a member of Wesley Methodist Church, Bethlehem.
Survivors: In addition to his wife Maryann, he is survived by his children, Nancy Carrasquillo (Julio) of Sayreville NJ, Rosemary Binder of Bethlehem, Dyan Cotier (Walter) of Frenchtown NJ, Robert J. Binder Sr. (Teri) of Mountain Lake NJ; grandchildren, Robert J. II, Alexcia, John M., Michael P., Emma, Kayla, Evan and great grandchildren, Jayden and Athena. He was preceded in death by a son, Toby Lawson; grandson, Michael A. Binder; brother, Joseph Binder; and sister, Theresa Irons.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Friday, November 18th, from 4:00-6:00 PM followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM all in the James Funeral Home, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem.
Graveside Services will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, November 19th at Northampton Memorial Shrine Cemetery, Palmer Twp.
