Obituary

Robert Bruce Campbell, 63, of Gouldsboro PA, passed away after an eight year illness on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 in St. Luke's Hospital, Bethlehem. Born in Washington DC, he was a son of the late Bruce and Mary (Henderson) Campbell. He ran his own recording studio in New Jersey prior to moving to California and working for close to 20 years as a Senior Field Service Engineer for Jeol Ltd. Upon retirement he moved to Pennsylvania.

Rob had a number of lifelong passions including guitars, motorcycles, camping, fishing and scuba diving, all of which provided him endless outlets for his energy. Being highly skilled in electronics he also enjoyed tinkering, he had a soldering station on his kitchen table and could fix or rebuild just about anything. In retirement he developed a passion for roasting his own coffee beans and cooking. The town of Gouldsboro provided just the right setting for Rob, surrounded by nature and the ever-present sound of the stream behind his house. Rob was a self-described "goon" which by his definition meant that if he was going to do something he went all out. All who knew him also knew that he was somewhat infatuated by politics and controversial topics and leveraged social media and local establishments to entertain himself. Above all, he just wanted to ride his Harley.

He is survived by a brother, Paul Campbell and his wife Lisa, their 3 children and son-in-law Meghan Slaven, Justin Slaven, Connor and Maddie; and a sister, Patricia Bernal-Silva and her husband David and their sons Michael and Zachary.

A Remembrance will be held on Saturday January 21, 2022 at the American Legion Post 274, in Gouldsboro, PA from 12pm-3pm located at 34 3rd Street ( the corner of 3rd and Lake St.)
