Robert L. Follweiler, 89, of Bethlehem, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018, in Sacred Heart Assisted Living, Northampton. He was the beloved husband of Jeanette Mae (Roberts) Follweiler with whom he shared 69 years of marriage. Born in Towamensing, Carbon County, he was a son of the late Leland and Blanche (Green) Follweiler. He served in the U. S. Navy during peace time and then attended electronics school. He worked in appliance stores before starting his 30 year career working for Sears Service Center on Race St. in Catasauqua, as an electronics technician before retiring. He was a member of Bethany UCC Church in Bethlehem.

"Bob" had a curious, inventive, detailed mechanical mind and a tireless work ethic. He used these qualities to perform beautiful renovations of his home, design and build wonderful furniture, and framework to display his wife's cross-stitch work. His presence is felt everywhere you look.

Bob always had a smile and liked to joke around with everyone he met.

Best of all he used his abilities and a kind nature to take care of and show his love for his family. He will be greatly missed. So Long "C"

Survivors: in addition to his wife, Jeanette, he is survived by a daughter, Debra M. Furst (Jack) of Hickory, NC; son, Randy Follweiler of Allentown, and a grandson, Matthew L. Furst of Pensacola, FL. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Bruce Follweiler and a sister, June Morrow.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to call Friday, June 22nd, from 2:30 to 3:00 p.m., followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St., Bethlehem. Offer condolences at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
