Obituary

Robert George Ritter, 78 of Lower Macungie Township passed away after a long battle with cancer on Jan.19,2026 at home with his wife Susan by his side. Born April 2, 1947 in Allentown, he was the son of the late Paul E. Ritter and Phylis Evans Ritter. He graduated from William Allen High School and then earned his BS in Engineering from Lafayette College. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army where he served in a NATO unit in the Netherlands during the Vietnam war.

Bob ran his own Consulting Engineering firm for over 20 years. He then went on to work for several design and build companies as a Project Manager until his retirement.

Survivors: He is survived by his wife, of 17 years, Susan Mesch Ritter; daughter, Alissa of Asburn, VA; son, Jared Ritter, wife Lindsay; grandsons, Liam and Caden of Hellertown; sister, Phylis Stephens of Slatington. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Saturday, March 14th from 10:00 to 11:30 AM, at the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St. Bethlehem, followed by a time of sharing memories at 11:30 AM.. Bob's cremated remains will be buried privately at Washington Crossing National Cemetery at a later date.
