Obituary

Ronald 'Doc' E. Weaver, 76, of Steel City Bethlehem, passed away peacefully at home on March 15, surrounded by his loving family.

Ronald was born on May 14, 1948, in Fountain Hill, PA. He was a dedicated and hardworking man who devoted 20 plus years of service to Bethlehem Township. He also worked at Champion Spark Plugs and Pagat's Auto Service. He was a member of the Board at the Independent Citizens Club for 20 plus years, where his contributions left a lasting impact on his community. Additionally, he was a member of the 540 Democratic Club, Hellertown Democratic Club, the Roosevelt Democratic Club, and Dewey Social Club.

Doc will be remembered for his good-natured, easy-going jovial personality by his family and numerous friends. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching NASCAR races, working on cars, and riding motorcycles. As a lifetime resident of Steel City, he enjoyed hosting an annual party for the Hillclimb.

Survivors: He is survived by his partner Maryann 'Mama' Schoch, son Ronnie Jr., stepdaughter Tina Dedinsky (wife of Thomas), grandson Joshua Abbott, and sisters Beverly Shimko, Linda Gontzar (wife of Mike), and Susan Palkow (wife of John). As well as several nephews, nieces, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Edytha (Shuman) Weaver.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Saturday, March 22, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 PM followed by a sharing of memories all at the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem, PA, 18018 A celebration of Ronald's life will be held on June 7, 2025, at the residence.

Contributions: The family kindly requests that, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Bethlehem Township Volunteer Fire Company, 1919 8th St, Bethlehem, PA 18020 or the Dewey Fire Company, 502 Durham St, Hellertown, PA 18055, in memory of Ronald E. Weaver.
