Rosemarie T. Kovacs, 91, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, Nov. 4, 2022 in the Moravian King's Daughters Home, Bethlehem. She was the beloved wife of the late Stephen R. Kovacs who passed in 1988. Born in Fountain Hill, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Rose M. (Kniess) Philippi. She was a graduate of Bethlehem Catholic H. S., class of 1949 and worked as an operator for Bethlehem Steel for several years. Later she was the parish secretary for Holy Ghost R.C. Church, Bethlehem and later became the parish cook and housekeeper for many years until retiring. She was also parishioner of Holy Ghost Church and was active on many parish committees as well.
Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Terri Kovacs of Bethlehem, Michael Kovacs of Bethlehem, a daughter in law, Kathleen Kovacs of Harrisburg, and 5 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Kovacs in 2015 and her brother, Robert Philippi.
Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing on Sunday, Nov. 13th from 6:00 to 8:00 PM in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center St., Bethlehem and on Monday Nov. 14th, from 10:00 to 10:55 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM all in Holy Ghost R.C. Church, 417 Carlton Ave. Bethlehem. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. More info at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
