Sharon Shankweiler, 63, of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, July 31, 2017, in Fox Subacute Care Center, Warrington Bucks County. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Head, who passed away in 2015. Born in Allentown, she was a daughter of the late Ruth Doherty.

Sharon was a 1989 graduate of Lehigh County Community College and worked as a clerk in medical records at Sacred Heart Hospital and later at St. Luke's Hospital. After leaving work due to illness, she worked part-time as a waitress at the Trivet Restaurant in Allentown and also volunteered at the Council for Spanish Speaking Organizations. She was of the Catholic faith and was a former member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, Allentown.

Survivors: Sharon is survived by her beloved children, daughters, Alicia Laub of Allentown; Laura Laub and her fiance' Christopher Borrelli of Allentown; Gina Laub and her fiance' Christopher Doward of Bethlehem; son, Michael Shankweiler and his wife Sarah of Tobyhanna, PA; step-daughter, Jaime Robinson and her husband Joel of Binghamton, NY; sister, Donna White of Allentown and 14 grandchildren.
