Willard G. Howard, Sr., 83, of Bethlehem, passed away peacefully in Phoebe Home, Allentown, on August 24, 2016. Born in Elizabeth City, NC, he was a son of the late Rudolph and Luvenia (Spruill) Howard. He served in the U. S. Army from 1956 to 1959 and worked construction for many years. Later he became a youth worker at the Southeast Neighborhood Center and remained there for over 20 years before retiring.

Survivors: He is survived by his children, Theresa Price of Providence, RI; Troy Hines-Howard of Allentown; Mattie Howard of Bethlehem; Willard Howard Jr. of Bethlehem; Tyson Howard of Allentown; Brothers, Alvin Howard of Pottstown; Melvin Howard of Allentown; sisters, Joyce Howard of Harrisburg; Annie Boyce of Elizabeth City, NC; 10 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Gloria (Jean) Cook, and brothers, Rudolph Howard and Edward Howard.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing this Saturday from 4:00 - 5:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m. all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem. Condolences may be left for the family at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
