Yury Polyakov, 96, of Bethlehem, Passed away on Saturday morning, November 20, 2021 in St. Luke's Hospital Anderson Campus after being stricken at home. He was the beloved husband of Lidia (Kirukhina) Polyakova with whom he shared 71 years of marriage. Born in Tula in the former Soviet Union, he was the son of the late Nicolay and Maria (Sheveleva) Polyakov. He worked for many years as manager of a shop at a military plant in Russia before retiring and moving to the United States to be closer to family. He was of the Russian Orthodox faith and had attended in the past St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Manhattan NY and in Bethlehem.
Survivors: In addition to his wife Lidia, he is also survived by a daughter, Irina Polyakova and her husband, Arnold Vasserman of Bethlehem Twp., 1 granddaughter, Mariana Hartman and her husband, of Bethlehem, 2 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
Service: Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing on Wednesday morning, November 24th from 11:00 AM to 12:15 PM followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 12:15 PM all in the JAMES FUNERAL HOME, 527 Center Street, Bethlehem. Burial will follow in Altona Cemetery, Bethlehem.
