Obituary for Linda L. Morgan

Linda L.  Morgan
Linda Lou (Lucas) Morgan, 68, of Valley View, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 8, 2017 in the Select Specialty Hospital, Harrisburg. She was the wife of the late Clayton L. Morgan, who died in 2006.

Born in Ashland, she was one of twenty-one children born to Verna S. (Carl) and William P. Lucas, Sr. Linda worked many part time jobs in her life, including factory work, cleaning and home healthcare. She was a member of the Valley View Gun Club, the Valley View American Legion Post #575 and the Hegins VFW Post #8237. Linda enjoyed cooking, taking weekend casino trips, was a #1 Elvis fan and loved her grandchildren with all of her heart.

Survivors: Daughter, Jacqueline E. Miller and her husband Jamie of Pine Grove; son, Rodney C. Morgan and his wife Melissa of Pine Grove; 6 grandchildren, Alexander and Andrew Maher, Gavin and Gabrielle Miller, Hannah Morgan and Pearce Bixler; 11 remaining siblings, Jerry Lucas of Lebanon, Shirley Deeter, Betty Wolfgang and Henry Lucas of Hegins, Jean Kroh, Carol Ann Nelson, Janet Maidenford, Cindy Schnoke, Robert Lucas and John “Peach” Lucas of Joliett, Barbara Bassinisky of Llewellyn. Linda was preceded in death by her daughter, Kim T. Morgan this past April. She was also preceded in death by sisters Marion Deeter, Grace Madenford, Anna Mae Lucas, Pauline Carter and toddler Verna Lucas and brothers Harold “Sonny” Lucas, William Lucas, Lewis Lucas and Joe Lucas.

Services: A visitation will be held from 1-2:30 PM, followed by a funeral service at 2:30 PM on Saturday, October 14, 2017 in the Buffington-Reed Funeral Home, 200 W. Main Street, Valley View. Arrangements are entrusted to the James Funeral Home & Cremation Service, PC in Bethlehem. Online tributes may be left at www.jamesfuneralhome.org.
