Condolences & Tributes

We encourage you to share any memorable photos or stories about Barbara. All tributes placed on and purchased through this memorial website will remain on in perpetuity for future generations.

Barbara was my best friend. I loved her and she loved me. We went through many good and bad times together, and I am so glad I had her in my life. I will miss her terribly. She was a good person.

I had to great fortune to have known Barbara, she was a loving mother, very caring and always giving without asking for anything is return. I will always remember her strength and courage to fight and persevere against all odds. One can't forget her (tell-it-as-it-is) attitude, straightforwardness but always honest and humble at the same time. You have touched many and will ALWAYS remain in the hearts of those who have known you Barbara.

I had the pleasure of knowing Barbara Hartman as a mother in law. She was funny, feisty and never read a National Enquirer story that wasn’t accurate. She had a huge and giving heart despite her gruff exterior. She treated me like family and I’m forever grateful. She is loved and will be missed.

My mother was a strong and determined woman, never one to give up, even when that would have been the easier way. She taught me how to be strong and how to fight; she showed me strength and she showed me will power. Never abandoning her children, taking away from herself to give to them. In the hardest of times, she stood tall. My mother was not perfect, her mistakes were her own, but she owned them. Against all odds, she pushed forward.

May God keep her.

I am proud of her. I love you, Mom. I always will, and I will always keep you near.
