Louis C. James
President and Supervisor
Lou has been working in Funeral Service for over 30 years starting part time, working as a driver and parking attendant. A former seminarian and priesthood candidate and later a caseworker for Northampton County DHS, Children & Youth Division, he is a 1985 graduate of DeSales University where he was a Postulant with the Oblates of St. Francis deSales and later attended the former Mary Immaculate Seminary as a seminarian for the Diocese of Allentown for 3 years leaving religious life in 1989. After graduating 1996 from Northampton Community College with a degree in Funeral Service, he became a licensed Funeral Director in 1997. Lou is very active in the community. He is a parishioner of Holy Ghost R. C. Church (A Latin Mass Parish), and also a parishioner of Assumption BVM Parish, Bethlehem, and serves as a lector and volunteers on various committees.
Lou is a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians (AOH), a Third Degree Knight of Columbus and recently received Knighthood in the Equestrian Order of the Knights of The Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
Lou has also served on various boards and organizations. He is past president of the Eastern PA Funeral Director's Association (2005), served on the board of FACT (Fighting AIDS Continuously Together), and Past-President of the South Bethlehem Historical Society (2018-2021) and currently on the Board of NOVUS ACS Foundation.
In his spare time, Lou enjoys time with his family and friends, going to Rehoboth Beach Delaware, Camping, and taking trips to Ireland, where he has also run small group tours of the country. An animal lover, Lou has been involved in Italian Greyhound Rescue, as well as the Center for Animal Health and Welfare.

Jennifer L. Nicholas
Funeral Director and Director of Pre-need Counselor
Jennifer is a native of Bethlehem. She is a 1999 graduate of Freedom High School and a 2002 graduate of Northampton Community College where she received her Funeral Service Education degree. Jennifer received her Funeral Director’s license in 2003 and in 2004 received her PA Insurance license. Jennifer, in addition to being a compassionate funeral director, is experienced in assisting families who have the need or desire to pre-arrange their funeral services. She had worked with John Lunsford and the former Snyder, Hinkle and Lunsford Funeral Home staff until John's passing and agreed to come back and assist families with their pre-arrangements at the James Funeral Home and Cremation Service, PC and is one of the friendly faces you will be greeted by at visitations and viewings. Jennifer has extensive experience in helping families and individuals with pre-planning and pre-funding funerals. Jen is a member of Light of Christ (formerly Messiah) Lutheran Church in Bethlehem.
