Obituary for Mary C. Ford

Mary C. Ford, 98, of Westminster Village, Allentown, formerly of Bethlehem and Middletown NJ, passed away peacefully in her home on Thursday evening September 2, 2021. She was the wife of the late William Ford, with whom she shared 53 years of marriage before his passing in 2001. Born in Long Branch NJ, she was a daughter of the late Worth and Enid (Brand) Cunningham. She was a graduate of Douglas College of Rutgers University and was a Chemistry Lab Instructor. She was a former member of the American Chemical Society and worked as a Research Chemist for Standard Oil (ESSO) for many years. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem, where she was a member of the Presbyterian Women and served as a Deacon. Before coming to Pennsylvania she was a Girl Scout Leader and Camping Consultant for 16 years.
She is survived by her daughters, Dr. Susan Ford of Hamilton NJ, Kathryn Ford of Upper Saucon Twp.; 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by a son, John W. Ford and brother, Worth Cunningham.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside memorial service on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. in the Memorial Garden of First Presbyterian Church, 2344 Center Street, Bethlehem.

Contributions: In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the "Music Ministry" of First Presbyterian Church of Bethlehem.  Arrangement entrusted to James Funeral Home, Bethlehem.
